GOING, GOING.......ALMOST GONE, FG DON READY TO SELL OUR REFINERIES

E be like say Federal Government don finally ready to sell our refineries wey dey Port-Hacourt, Warri and Kaduna give private pipu o. Mr. Ben Dikki, who be Director-General for the Bureau of  Public Enterprises, BPE, na him loud this mata for one briefing for Abuja, yesterday.

He said but sha o dem go first try get the cooperation of labour leaders dem, especially for the oil industry before dem go take concrete steps to sell the refineries. He say as per say labour unions don show say dem ready to rub mind with government to arrange better business models for the refineries.  Na dis dem go take start the privatization process in 2014.

 

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo na him first sell some of the refineries to Blue Circle, wen him tenure wan end in 2007 but late President Umaru Yar’Adua rewind the transaction and return dem investors money to them
